Roswell Wood Flooring is a wood flooring business in Roswell, GA, with more than 20 years of experience refinishing, repairing and installing hardwood floors. Most of our work is in homes across north Fulton and the surrounding cities, where floors range from 1980s and 1990s oak to old heart pine in historic houses and engineered floors in newer basements.

Our Approach

Worker wheeling an upright drum sander up a ramp into a plain work van in the driveway of a Roswell job site.

We find out why a floor looks the way it does before we touch it. A cupped or clammy floor gets moisture meter readings and a search for the source before anyone sands the crown flat. A soft, spongy spot gets opened up and traced to the subfloor or the moisture behind it, instead of being screwed down and hidden. Water from a washer, a dishwasher, a supply line or a storm is traced, dried and measured before a single board is replaced, and documented room by room when an adjuster is involved.

We also respect what a floor already is. Site-finished oak from the 1980s and 1990s is usually sanded and refinished rather than torn out, once we have checked the wood left above the tongue. Heart pine and other old floors are refinished for what they are, and new boards are matched to the old color rather than a catalog sample. Boards damaged by subterranean termites are cut out and woven in with matching stock after the pest control company has treated, never filled or covered over.

The details around the job matter as much as the floor. We check the build year and painted surfaces before sanding an older home, confirm your HOA’s written approval before work starts, and lay stain samples on your own floor, in your own light, before you choose a color. Stairs are quoted tread by tread, with refinishing and new treads priced as the two different jobs they are. When a termite letter or inspection turns up damaged flooring before a sale, we help sellers work against their closing date.

What We Do

Our work covers wood floor refinishing, screen and recoat maintenance, hardwood floor staining and heart pine restoration; hardwood floor repair, water damage repair and termite damage repair; and new installations, including solid and engineered hardwood, carpet-to-hardwood conversions and hardwood stairs. Engineered wood is matched to basements and slabs, where solid wood does not belong below grade. If your floor needs attention, or you are planning a new one, contact us to request a free estimate and we will come look at the floor itself before recommending anything.
